When happy or sad

My Kyokushin Karate instructor back in Brazil
once said to me that karate could work as an anchor for people between life’s peaks and valleys and I thought that to be an interesting image. He said: “When you're happy, practice karate. When you’re sad, practice more karate.”
I find that you can pick goals to move you through moments or seasons in life. Choose a movement you want to get better at and a benchmark you wish to achieve. Develop a strategy to achieve that goal and stick to that strategy to the very best of your ability. Life will throw different things at you, yet you stay firm on that path. You will be amazed at the empowerment you will get from that.

Applied to strength training, you don’t need anything other than minimal equipment (one or two kettlebells or your bodyweight for that purpose).
A coach and a supportive community can be instrumental at that. A real coach can help you find the right strategy for you and pinpoint the technical improvements you need to make; a community will provide the comradery to keep you showing up.
My goal as a coach is to give you these elements in whatever configuration works best for you.
