Take a Step Back

We live in strange times.
Not too far back, in most places our grandparent’s time, for the vast majority of humans, being able to rely on our bodies and be physically capable was a precondition to our very existence in the world.
Being strong and resilient, at that time, had a direct effect on your everyday life and work.

Modern life created an unnatural situation: we, creatures driven primarily by instinct and wired for survival, with systems that receive positive feedback from accomplishments leading to our survival/ thriving, were made so comfortable that we lost the conditions to get the necessary stimulus towards growth.
Modern life also created easy access to endorphins coming from sensorial experiences such as food, low forms of entertainment, shopping, etc. Our every desire was made easy, making most of us addicts.
It’s no wonder we have an overfed, overstimulated population suffering from mental, hormonal, physical and social diseases.
Uncluttering our minds is a similar process of decluttering the rooms where we live. It’s a process of letting go. We need to reflect on what is necessary there, what leads us towards growth, and what is not and needs to be dispensed with.
Good habits empower, they are simple. Yet, repeated, they bring us to a different state of mind and, therefore, a new life. A new life will give the same place a different meaning.
Your kettlebell corner is a powerful place to tinder this ember and turn it into a flame.
